Thanks. I've been trialing ShapeWriter (a knockoff?) so this is good timing before I pay.

Has anyone trialed both keyboards? ShapeWriter and Swype?

I sure thought TouchPal would get released by now too.

Haven't tried ShapeWriter yet but will give it a shot after playing with Swype for awhile. But that may take awhile since I'm really liking Swype. Takes just a bit of learning or should I say "unlearning your old ways" but it's very fast and very accurate. If this is released as a paid app I'll definitely spring for it.

I have both Swype and Shapewriter on my Droid. Swype is much better. The spacebar is usable and the number pad is better. Also you can long press keys for symbols. Excellent. Uninstalling Shapewriter now.

I really like Swype. I can type much faster now. I think I will keep using this.

I have to agree. The little I've used Swype today beats ShapeWriter. Are we thinking this "preview" will soon be a paid app and any idea what it will cost?

This swype is working really well :D. If they do start charging for it I'll probably go ahead and pay whatever they charge for it.
