Re: square bar code thing
So far everything I've seen stored in one is a link to a web page. There may be other uses for it too, but that's all I've seen so far. It's really handy for shopping the Android Market from your PC. I go to androlib and check their "top of the day" apps so I can read about them on my pc, each app has one of those bar codes on the right side of the page, if you see an app you like you just open the bar code scanner on your phone and hold it up to your computers screen and it will scan it and take you directly to the app on your phone so you dont have to search for it again.

they can store links, contact information and stuff like that... and you use barcode scanner to read them.

Wirelessly posted (HTC Touch Pro 2: Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.0.1; en-us; Droid Build/ESD56) AppleWebKit/530.17 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/530.17)
And if you have the barcode scanner app you can create one from any of your contacts. Display a contact then menu - share and select barcode scanner.
