Notification I don't understand.........

The 'droid is telling me that it's connected to a multimedia station and select to open launcher.

Anyone know what this is all about?

Is your Droid sitting in a home dock when you see this? That's the message I see when I insert mine into the dock. My guess is you'd also see it if you happened to be doing the "magnet trick" (with or without your knowledge).

They use magnets to control the car and multimedia modes on the phone.

If you place a magnet in the right spot it will turn on one of the modes. Switch the polarity and it will turn on the other.
