Re: cotacts from touch pro to droid
go to a best buy if you cant get it synced to a gmail account. They use thes nice samsung tablet computers and have a little program. Even though both stores i went to had usb conection problems it did not take more than ten minnutes

Re: cotacts from touch pro to droid
The process for transferring contacts through Cellbright for the Droid has been pretty brutal.
Normally with a cellbrite you tell it what the two phones are, it tells you what cables to use then hit go and let it do it's thing. On the Moto Droid there's some extra steps which make sense to us users but not to a salesperson who's never owned the device. Celbrite downloads contacts from old phone like butter but then the joy of the Motorola Droid: -connect the droid -mount the usb -Upload the cellbrite software to the Droid -run the software -upload the contacts -DISCONNECT THE USB CABLE! This one gets them every time. For some reason, you can't access your SD Card from the Droid while it's mounted through USB (Go ahead and check.) -Go to the contacts screen -menu > Import/Export -import from SD card -you'll want to tie these contacts to one of your sync accounts. Maybe this will help someone going through the same thing; however I imagine that most Verizon retailers will be solid with this now as they should have plenty of practice by now. |

Re: cotacts from touch pro to droid
I picked a Droid up on Friday. I had a Touch Pro 2 for a month or so and could sync my contacts through Microsoft Myphone on it, but of course I couldn't use Myphone on the Droid.
What I did was copied all of my contacts from MS Myphone and imported them in to Gmail. When I went back and tapped on the contacts icon on the Droid, they were there already. Pretty cool. It didn't take much. |
