Droid 1 Comparison

Has anyone upgraded from the original moto droid to this phone? I've heard some things about the slide mechanism on these new phones being less robust and/or solidly built as on the original.

I have the droid1 currently and have for over a year now, I really enjoy the phone. It really is time for an upgrade though, and I'm having a hard time making a decision. Being that I love this phone so much I figured I would just get the better version of it but hearing about the number of issues other folks have, I put the brakes on a bit.

If anyone has any comparison info, please share it.
