Sprint Theme and Digital Clock for Rhodium Manila

5 Attachment(s)
Jmz Sprint theme for Rhodium Manila v0.3

Credit goes to showaco from XDA for helping me get the clock done. Works perfectly, and comes with BG4all to make it work right.

I have been messing with a lot of manila files working on these. The theme is by no means 100% done. I am posting here to see if there are people that want to give me a hand. But it will install and WILL NOT hose your manila. the only issues would be a image here or there that is still stock and not themed or a graphic file out of place. Nothing that would make manila unusable.

Please let me know if there are any issues.

Code:

v0.3
Added yellow highlights  *Thanks Chuck IV
Clock now reverts to old start menu also.

v0.2
Added Sprint TSK  *Thanks Chuck IV
Disables new start menu as it was causing problems
Enables programs tab
Added new calendar icon  * Thanks Chuck IV

v0.1
Original Release

As of right now no.

NICE job! Iam a big fan of the Sprint theme look. Even running MightyROM, I would install a Sprint theme/clock overlay and have the best of both worlds(good looking theme and a fast and bug free ROM).

I've been using the T-Mobile theme for TF2, but this will be a definite install for me.

I see you don't have a calendar icon yet. As a suggestion, I've attached the manila files I used for a light blue Sprint themed calendar icon, when I had the calendar tab in TF3D1(I don't remember where they came from, but I didn't create them). I don't have the ability at the moment to extract the actual image files from the manila files, so I'm just posting the manila files.

FYI, for anyone else, I haven't tried them with TF3D2, so I wouldn't try to install these. They are just posted for jmztaylor for him to incorporate into his theme, if he so choses.

For anyone who wants the Sprint Yellow colors throughout, I've attached the sprint yellow theme. Just unzip and drop it in your \Windows Directory, soft reset(not sure if this is needed, but if I don't, it shows as grey, not yellow) and then start|setting|today and select "Sprint"

The only thing that doesn't seem to change is the Start menu highlight color of the LARGE start menu. It still stays green for some reason. I dunno why, but none of these themes seem to change that particular part.

Were you using the new start menu where it links you directly to the programs tab? If so, I'm guessing this may have broken it. Many mods seem to break that new start menu with Juicy's ROM. That new start menu is more problems than it is worth IMO.

I tried installing a mod that made the program tab 4 wide(vs 3) and also made the all programs window 4 wide also, but that broke the new start menu as well(all I got was a blank screen) in Juicy's ROM(and in Mighty ROM's beta too).

I just used a cab to revert to the old start menu and then added back the old programs tab into TF3D2.

Yeah, that's exactly what happen. I have to go find that programs tab and start menu cabs. We need a cab repository for this quick fixes. I know we have one for programs.

The attached 2 worked for me.

Even tho the first one says it will add back the Programs tab, as well as the revert the start menu, it doesn't. It only reverts the start menu. The second one will bring back the programs menu.

The Sprint clock is the BEST. I love this clock more than any of those flip clocks. I have a transparent one on mine and it looks awesome. Its the same white clock (and I also have colors) without the black background. Here is a cab I made for it but I dont know if it works on with the tp2 manila. Feel free to try it though...

The Sprint clock does NOT work well with the BK4All app for some reason. It puts a white box in the top left corner. Wish there was a way to fix that.

Dude...you friggin rock....I love the Sprint theme and its pretty hard to find it built into custom roms anymore. Especially the ones I generally use (Juicy and Mighty). So this is just friggin awesome. In fact....yesterday I was just debating the merits of one rom over another with my roomate...he installed a rom he isnt happy with just because it has the sprint theme.

So...this is just in time for us!

THANK YOU!

Edit...I just noticed that you cooked a rom with this in it as well...might just have to give that a shot!

I wish there was a way to change the green notifications on the TF3D icons to yellow...

for instance, when it tells you how many text you have, the number is green

Problem is: How do I get to start any cab fixes.. I can't get to my programs or file manager... I e-mailed me the file but Poutlook will not let me run it right from there. I guess maybe I have to download through the phone browser. Nevermind that did it..

Yes I will be releasing an updated cab with this included.

Yes. I am looking into the reason why. If you uninstall the theme it will revert back.

Thanks. My cab will now be changing that until I figure out the reason why.

The clock already has BG4All. You must uninstall the BG4all before installing this.

Search for a program called ceregeditor. It installs on your computer and you can edit your registry from your desktop.

HKLM\Software\HTC\EnlargeStart\
EnableManilaStartMenu = 1
HKCU\Software\HTC\Manila\
EnableStartMenu = 1

Change these to 0 and reboot. Will work with regular start menu. Or just uninstall the theme till I get it figured out.

Fixed a couple issues. Now start menu now works with the old style. No fix yet for the new start menu.

One question jmztaylor,

Are you trying to match the Sprint theme as close as possible? Just wondering because if I remember right, isn't the background to the slider icons more of a black color on the normal Sprint theme? It's more of a pronounced dark grey now.

Just curioous.

One more thing, can u change the calendar highlight from green to yellow? Thanks a million.

Re: Sprint Theme and Digital Clock for Rhodium Manila

The clock (first cab) broke the start button on my phone (Juicy 6 ROM).

The theme CAB (2nd cab) removed the TF3d2 start function and replaced it with the old start menu.

Ok - now I am installing the clock over the theme. If that works I may run it like that for a while. I was just getting used to the new start menu.

Just finished... yes it worked. Also noticed that it adds a program tab that didn't exist before.

Those yellow bubbles are not my creation, I think they are cmylxgo's creation. There is a bubble thread somewhere on these boards that has a bunch. He also made some calendar highlights recently too.

Just noticed a bug...

I was playing with wallpapers last night. I didn't really like any of them so I switch it back to the normal background (black)

Just now, I had my TF3D in landscape mode and one of the wallpapers showed (in all tabs)....anyone knows how to remove it from landscape?

I got the same problem. I installed both CABs last night. I have the same issue you have plus my touch input keyboard went screwy. I had to switch to the normal qwerty keyboard on my Sprint TP with Juicy 6 ROM.

Re: Sprint Theme and Digital Clock for Rhodium Manila

I have not noticed anything with the keyboard. But with the wallpaper issue. Revert to original wallpaper using the settings tab in landscape. Do the same in portrait. Then set your background in portrait. It is a bug in BG4all.

cmylxgo was kind enough to make a yellow theme for the calendar...
