Re: TF3D HD port 2/18/09 update
Just checked the thread again....looks like the Touch Pro 2 port is very close to being done. The new dialer/phone canvas was ported but with bugs, natch. Those guys are fast...

Re: TF3D HD port 2/18/09 update
I have a problem with the weather. I installed and then deleted the forecast cache db. I didn't see US in the country list so I stopped the tf3d and installed the weather database editor mentioned in the first post. I launched it and I get an error saying File write protection couldn't be removed. How else can I get US cities into the weather tab?
UPDATE: After installing the database editor it kept giving me the error mentioned above; however, after I installed it, I noticed that United States is now in the list of countries when selecting a city from the Weather tab. I thought all was good but after selecting my city and updating I have the IDS text. |
Re: TF3D HD port 2/18/09 update
You're using the Touch Pro 2 port right? If so, use the new HTC Weather Master 2.2 app located here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=480101
I'm using the HD port so I used the original Weather Master 1.3 app. This is what I did: 1) Disable Touch Flo 2) Install Weather Master on Storage Card (doesn't matter if you do device or storage card - I always try to save on card as often as I can) 3) Soft Reset 4) Go to Windows Directory & delete forecast cache 5) Load Weather Master & add whatever city needed 6) Reload Touch Flo |
Re: TF3D HD port 2/18/09 update
No I am using the HD port. I didn't install the tp2 port. Sorry about that. I will try the weather master instead of the weather database editor.
UPDATE: Well that didn't work either. So I installed the HD weather cab that is floating around. That took care of the problem for me. |
Re: TF3D HD port 2/18/09 update
Two things I want to say about this port for those who are thinking of installing. Definitely do a hard reset beforehand. I didn't and all kinds of wierd quirks pop up. Secondly if installing all kinds of themes each week is your thing then you probably won't like this port. With that said, I like this better than the tf3d that came stock on the TP. It responds quicker when moving from tab to tab, after a connection is made the weather update is practically instantaneous. I have also noted scrolling to be more snappy. Great job on the port.

Would you mind posting the background picture if you have it that is shown here with the blue theme? I dl'd the zip and the picture that was included was the seascape picture shown on the Photo tab. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...&postcount=572 |
