i have the internet tab with the xda widget. are there directions anywhere to change that to the youtube app? or could someone give me instructions?

Ok, the task manager, there is a cab somewhere on the older package. I thinks it's the 15 update. The internet tab, Instructions is on post 3. There are also some more fixes in there if U want to check it out. If u guys R having an issue with the new release, Just revert to the older m2d that works for U. like I said in my earlier posts, u don't need to keep on updating if Ur m2d is working properly. Check the changelogs and files in the package to see just what U wanna add to ur working m2d tomake it better. remeber to always backup before installing latest update so U can come back if it doesn't work for U.
check post 3 for some more helpful tips and fixes.

thank you for your answer jethro. however, that post tells me how to change from youtube to iexplore. i know it sounds dumb but i need to know how to change from xda to youtube. basically i need specifics. thank you for your help and for being so damn smarter than me. (i mean it)

on post 2. It says add solid black. The file is named iphone coz I took it from torx iphone theme which works great with m2d

I'm sorry but I don't have m2d installed right now but if ur not in a hurry, I'll ask somebody to post the registry entry on widgets. u just have to edit the registry using resco.

any reg editor is fine. resco isnot free but there is a 7 day trial. but like I said, If U have a reg editor, it's fine. Make sure to back up or remember ur entries so if it din't work, just revert back.
I think this is what U need. try it.

To get Youtube functioning you have to download and install the Youtube cab, then using a Regeditor navigate HKLM/Software/HTC/Manila/InternetWidget/Customized/0/ make sure that CustomizationURL Value Data is Windows\youtube.exe then make sure that CustomizationIcon Value Data is Windows\HH_INTERNET_YOUTUBE.bmp
