Bell Canada Stock ROM Users....

I just wanted to report that I have the 2D working great on my Bell Stock ROM using Windows 6.1. Even YouTube works great. I am using version Beta 0.7 but I will admit I was not happy with how the music tab was working so I just removed that for now. This is one of the best things that has ever happened to my Touch phone.

Thanks to everyone who has contributed to this project. There are indeed a lot of brilliant minds out there both here on PPCGeeks and XDA. I do not ever plan to use anything other than stock ROMS anymore so it is nice that this was made available outside of a cooked ROM.

DL the sept 16 update in the first post. Look for the audio manager in the folders then install it. You don't have audio manager installed that's why U get the error.

I'm not sure why my youtube doesnt work with the fix+the youtube cab, if i click on a vid it just sits on connecting and on initial opening it always says no videos, I'm on stock touch

I had the same issue on my Bell Touch (stock ROM) at first and once I installed Opera build 1955 the internet tab worked great. In fact... on my stock ROM everything worked right from the very first beta that appeared on this site.

The only issue I have come up against is that the weathercities XML file is read only in my Windows folder and I am unable to change that so I can add Brooks, AB to my list of cities... but all in all... this is one time I am glad I never changed out my stock ROM as all the issues I seem to be reading on here that people are having seem to be coming from people with cooked ROMS.

Which youtube do U have? there's 2 versions. the YT and the official qvga. I am using the official which can be found in the first post. soft reset is needed too incase U forgot. I will work. Trust me.

How did U overwrite? from PC or phone?

Guys, if U r having issues, I think it's easier to identify a the problem if U include which version U have and what ROM. I will assume everyone is using WM 6.1. This way, it's easier to filter the solution. Coz everyone is using different versions and different ROMs. that is why everyone has different issues and the solutions does not apply to everybody. Just a thought.

Yea I'm using the official youtube cab, one question is does the youtube app perform better than the youtubeplay app? If not i'll stick to what I know works. I may have leftovers from previous install but youtube isnt worth a hard reset unless it significantly better.

Youtube play only search videos from youtube mobile. This youtube app came pre installed on the diamond and the newer released phones. So it's so much better. U just prolly missed something. uninstall both youtube and the fix then re install it. if not, install the fix first then youtube. play with it. it will work. You have sprint touch with stock rom right?
