Is there a better way to do this than using cut and paste. Is there a program that will allow me to view the windows folder when connected to my PC... using ActiveSync it will not let me see the windows folder so that I can delete the HH_0409_WeatherCities.XML to replace it with the new one that I have edited to include my city.

Thanks in advance for your help!
You need to disable the Touchflo plug in from your Today option screen in WM first. This will turn it off and stop all running processes. Once you do that you should be able to replace the XML file with your custom one as well as the Patched touchflo exe file if your initial touchlo cab didn't already include it.

Just go to your windows folder and paste the new XML file into it. It'll take a while to load the windows folder cuz there are so many files in it. Just be patient and wait. Then just select edit/paste.

Then you can reactive the touchflo today plug in and your new cities shoud show up in the weather options.

And btw, activesync should allow you to your windows folder on your PPC but if not just save the new XML file to your memory card or anywhere on your PPC then just copy and paste it to your windows folder using your PPC file explorer. That's how I did it.

It was a no go... seems as though the file is locked... even though I turned off the TouchFlo plugin and ended all programs.... I even tried to move the file out with SKTools but it also says the file is locked. Perhaps it is something to do with me Using Vista on my PC for syncing? Any other suggestions as to how I can "unlock" the file so I can delete. I am using the TouchFlo loaded on Sept 14th... (Sunday)

Thanks for the help.

Yeah the Vista might be the problem but i'm no GURU so can't tell ya. Have you tried disabling the plug in the soft reseting, THEN trying? That's the only thing I can think of. Seems like a process associated to that file must still be running somehow if it won't let you edit it. Does SKTools have a process stopping function?

i use Vista for my syncing and whenever i want to pull the app and install a new version, i go to the today options, uncheck the box and then go over to remove programs and it works fine so I doubt it's Vista's fault

He's not trying to uninstall the app. He's trying to replace the weather XML file ONLY where the cities are stored on that is in the /windows folder on his PPC. The system won't let you overwrite it or make changes to it if a program or app is using it ie. Manilla.

He has to make sure that the Manilla app is totally closed and not running any processes in order to go in and replace the XML file with the custom one he created with his cities in it. And the easiest way to do that is with WM file explorer on his PPC since for some reason Vista is not allowing him to with Activesync.
