Request for Custom ROM

Hi...i'm not sure if i'm posting in the right sub-section so excuse me if I'm not.
I was wondering if one of the two things are possible:
1). have a custom rom with manila 2.5 cooked in and still have powermobia left in tact (yes i know people hate it, but i kinda like the style of threaded messages)
or
2). extract powermobia from a stock v7 rom and make a cab file from it.

any feedback let me know please. thanks in advance.

Re: Request for Custom ROM

Hi, I'll look into it, but I have a few questions:
1: Do you use the phone on Verizon? (if yes, then this will work. PowerMobia does NOT work on GSM)
2: You do know that Arcsoft won't work correctly with Manilla, correct? Manilla has it's own SMS program built in which requires PowerMobia to be removed. I can try building with it in, but I cannot guarantee anything working correctly.
3. I'll see if I can extract PowerMobia. It seems to be the same .dll files as normal Arcsoft, but with the registry pointing to PowerMobia instead of tmail.exe

pizzaboy192:
1:No, I don't use it on Verizon. My carrier is Digicel, but they do have 4G capabilities.
2:Thanks for this info, I didn't know that before.
3:Great, thank you for trying, really appreciate it.

Re: Request for Custom ROM

Is Digicel CDMA or GSM? If it is CDMA, it may work. Othwerise you'll be unable to send MMS messages.

Re: Request for Custom ROM

It's on a GSM network, but that won't be an issue for me.. don't really send mms messages at all actually

Re: Request for Custom ROM

sounds good. I'll dig out a V7 device as soon as I can and see what the registry entries and files are. It should take a few hours as soon as I get my device out.
