Removing GSM Sim Lock in LG Fathom?

Sim Lock in LG Fathom VS750 is controlled by SimLockSerurity.dll.
It is possible to disable loading of this file using Registry Key.

In the following Registry Key,
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Phone\SecurityTab
you will find key
ExtendedPIN
with value
\windows\SimLockSecurity.dll

Just rename the value "SimLockSecurity.dll" to Some other Name,
for example:- \windows\OriSimLockSecurity.dll
Save & Restrart the Phone.

After restarting the phone, "SimLock" menu doesn't appear in
Phone Security settings tap.

My phone originally came with sim-unlocked state. After disabling
SimLockSecurity.dll, my phone works as usual.

Those who have their phones with GSM SIM-LOCKED, please test this
settings & Reply whether this settings removes the SIMLOCK.

You have to use any one of the Registry Editor
Software for editing Registry.
I am not sure this trick will unlock your phone.

I need to unlock the SIM for GSM use in Europe.

EDIT: In my phone, I do not seem to have a "Security Tab" folder or an ExtendedPIN reg key. Any tips on where to look or how to fix this? Thanks again

Search for
SimLockSecurity.dll
through Registry. If you find it just rename it
& restart.

This trick just makes the sim lock option disappear ....but it still gives error of invalid sim for non verizon sim in gsm locked phone and the sim doesnt work.

So is there any way to unlock the SIM for a USA Verizon locked LG Fathom? I just want to stop looking if there really is no option out there.
