Re: CDMA not working in india

There's a key in the registry that can disable the canvas. Easier than reflashing. I found it earlier, by searching the registry for "phone" strings.

HKEY_Local_Machine/Security/Phone/Skin/Enabled
Set it to 0 and it should disable the LG skin.

Re: CDMA not working in india

Thank you hero121 & Pizzaboy for extending technical help.

For What?

Yes, I have activated Reliance Number in my LG Fathom.
I feel a great success. May be I am the first person to
activate LG Fathom to an Non-Verizon CDMA Network.
May be this method be used for other networks.

The Last struggle, even after MEID Registrartion with Reliance, is
"Your Device could not be activated. Please contact customer Care"
After hours & hours of searching I found that
the main culprit for this problem is "eri.bin" file in NV Memory.

I used QPST. Using EFS Explorer in QPST Configuration,
I deleted eri.bin file in eri folder.

Once this file is deleted, restrarted phone.
I used GSK, dialled *228, input 9 digit pin Number.

After sometime, Reliance voice said
"Your device is activated. Your Phone Number is xxxxxxxxxx"
After 4 hours of activation now I am able to use Reliance CDMA Network.

One month struggle came to an end.

Thanks again hero121, for uploading ROM without LGCanvas.

Thanks to all helped me to achieve this success directly or indirectly.

I will post the steps to be followed, tomorrow.

Dear pizzaboy192
Thanks for your technical help, After your reg edit, LGE phone canvas gone. But it is still giving a popup screen that Activation is not available, after dialing *228.
Any way thanks
for your deep knowledge.

Re: CDMA not working in india

Dear headhair

I am very happy upon your success of CDMA working.
So Now I am more interested in to work my phone also in CDMA.
So here I want to know have you change your MCC MNC home SID NID or not ? Please reply.
Today I have contacted through mail to your recomended third pary MIED activator.
and he has replied to me in positive way and told there rate about Rs. 500/=
Here I want to know how you have paid him, after registration or before registration.
In your detail advice mentioned earlier, you have not mentioned about to change any MCC MNC home SID NID number. I think it is not necessary but not sure, you can confirm it.
Another thingh again I want to give you double thanks that your funda to change LgeDialParser.dll has worked for me. As in past I have written to you that I made rom with built in your LgeDialParser.dll file has not worked for me. But to day I found that there is two numbers LgeDialParser.dll file are there in my kitchen. one in OEM and another in LGE phone canvas .ext file. I had changed only in oem file. that was the mistake. To day I have changed both the file with your LgeDialParser.dll file and made a ROM with LGE V7 phone canvas and Now it is dialing *228 and getting connected to reliance tower. There is no need to extract LGE phone canvas. All these thingh we got after a hard labour and full cooperation of the members like you and Pizzaboy.
Now I have to registered my MEID number as well as your help to get working CDMA in my set also.
Please reply of my some questions mentioned above.
Thanks

Re: CDMA not working in india

Dear hero121,

No need to know things like SID, MID, MIN, MCC, MNC & all.

1) Register MEID with Reliance.
2) Check whether your MEID is registered.
3) Please get 26 digit AKey for your mobile (That's very important) from whom you registered MEID
4) Use QPST->Connect Phone->EFS explorer->Look for /ERI folder->
Right click ERI.BIN-> Delete
5) Restart your phone
6) Input AKey (dial 2539** in CDMA mode, you will get AKey box)
7) All completing this procedures, go to reliance Stores, Either get GSK (New Number-with 9 digit Pin Number) or ask them to transfer your existing CDMA number
to the set.
In case GSK, you can do it yourself. Dial *228, input 9 digit number. You are activated.

9) VERY IMPORTANT.
Once you registered, please back-up NVs using LGNPST or QPST.
(Also Note Your MIN, SID, NID, MCC, MNC - in case you missed your NV)
That's all

Yes. Phone will revert to its original position. That's why I recommend you have a NV backup once you get registered to reliance. If you have NV, No problem. Personally after registration I have backed up NV. I flashed 3 ROMs, restored NV. Happy with working.
