But after searching registry, there is an entry that eri.bin is located in \windows\ folder. If it is correct, we could remove this in ROM itself. Quote:

If you have NV, you can reformat, reflash. Restore NV & use reliance as usual And one more thing. MEID, MIN & AKey all should be correct to connect to the carrier. If you know these things, you can reprogram manually, without need of NV. |

Re: CDMA not working in india
Dear headhair
Thanks for soon reply, To day I went to reliance centre not web (reliance web is at Ranchi, Jharkhand, India which is about 120KM from my place ) he told me now no gsk kit is coming. then I have requested to transfer a new number, first he told me it is not possible so many people came and this is not accepted by your phone. Lastly he agree to to paste new number and I Purchased a new CDMA sim from there and he told me to come to morrow because system update will take 24 hours. Now I will go to morrow and let me see what is happening with my phone. Another thing I made a new rom by editing the reg. for eri.bin file, but After doing hard reset it again came eri.bin file in eri folder of QPST. I am attaching both file. Original = [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Qualcomm\RIL\ERI] "Enabled"=dword:1 "Algorithm"=dword:1 "DataFileName"="\\Windows\\eri.bin" edited below: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Qualcomm\RIL\ERI] "Enabled"=dword:0 "Algorithm"=dword:0 "DataFileName"="\\Windows\\eri.bin" underline is deleted After disable the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Qualcomm\RIL\ERI a new thing came on screen is as folows: NAM1 seen written on left corner of the screen in CDMA mode, I change the dword value to its original i.e. (1) NMAM1 It got vanished. I do not justify is it will help for eri.bin active or deactive ? In my city I have problem in getting nine digit pin number, In the absence of nine digit pin I have to depend on the CC personal of reliance center. If I got nine digit pin number then in case of failure I can re activate after searching the faults like you. thanks Last edited by hero121; 03-05-2012 at 06:35 AM. |

Re: CDMA not working in india
Dear hero121,
Please donot hardreset (or) flash New ROM until your phone is activated with reliance. This is my humble request. If you have hard reset, please 1) Delete Eri.bin file from your phone using QPST 2) Input your akey again. 3) Till activation donot test anything. Once activated, please backup your NV. 4) For safety, Note down MEID, AKey and MIN in a separate paper. I am also eagerly waiting for your Reliance Activation |

If you buy gsk, they will give your the phone number (it is called paper sim) along with 9 digit pin number for activating that phone number. You can yourself change reliance number from one set from another using HCC (handset change card). That's also a 9 digit pin number. Nowadays, both are not available with Reliance. So we have to go to Reliance Store to change the number. In case you need not input 9 digit pin number. They will automatically transfer number from RUIM Sim to your handset. So, please wait. |

Thanks and very very thanks to you, To day I went reliance center and they put my new number and after short while I dialed *228 after some music my phone got activated with reliance CDMA, Now I have checked outgoing/incoming SMS and Call all are working I am very also very happy with this. This is all for your effort and guide without your guide It was not possible. Now I have to know how to protect it so in future if any problem arises and if any hard reset or rom flashing is needed . We would not have to reliance centre. Thanks again. |

I will not do hard reset. earlier it was my practice to do hard reset. But now I have got some thing valuable. I have backed .nvs file through LGNPST. Regarding MIN it is not seen in phone system display. Will I have to find with by secret code, Or it is in NVS file. In nvs file there is MIN 1 with seven digit number. MIN2 is three digit number system NAM2 side: MIN2 is also three digit I could not understand which one has to be noted, But I have noted all in a plain Paper also |
