Why did the scene die so quickly, other than not enough fathom users?

I wish a few of us would/could pick it back up and carry on with it...

Another question, has anyone ever tried porting the LG Ally over to LG Fathom? I mean they are almost the same exact phone I'd think, except for the difference in processor speeds.
