Re: [ROM] Project: Teya 1.0.0 Released 03-Dec-2010
Thanks for the ROM. I have been switching ROM and this is the best ROM.
There's one issue I found when setup the Exchange Email. When Enroll the certificate, the active sync fail with error "user opted out enrollment". |
Re: [ROM] Project: Teya 1.0.0 Released 03-Dec-2010
What is the premise of having to have the sim card installed for messaging? I am on VZW & mine is unlocked. When the sim card is installed the phone switches to GSM mode. I would assume that I would be able to switch back to CDMA but I can't test that theory at the present time. I haven't screwed around with the siom card lately & never tried it.

Love this ROM!! Kinda laggy when running without the cpu overclocked and all the graphics at default, but with the CPU at 768Mhz using OC_Auto_4.21, works GREAT! Very fast, no lockups. My new favorite ROM, keep up the good work!!

here is a guide, cab can be found in the guide: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/htc-touch-...explained.html let me know how it goes for you. im still debating on doing it... *edit* installed cab, running @ 672mhz, steps 3, load 3|15-30|50% phone is running much faster/smoother. no SOD or lockups yet, started @ 650, will work up to a higher load if needed... |
Re: [ROM] Project: Teya 1.0.0 Released 03-Dec-2010
I am unable to get this rom to sync files via activesync. After flashing and setting up a partnership, the files on the phone won't sync to the pc. If I manually copy the files to the PC, it tries to sync every file each time I connect and if any file on the phone has changed it will be overwritten by the file on the PC. Anyone else seeing this?

1) Install Msm7kCpuSpeed. Run this program and see how high you can clock the cpu without it locking up on you. Play around until you find the best\most stable clock speed for you device. For mine, anything past 768Mhz is very unstable. 2) Install MortScript-4.2-PPC. 3) Install OC_Auto_v4.21. Run it, the only thing I change from the defaults is selecting the overclocked speed at the beginning. Make sure you don't change the second screen from 604Mhz, or you'll have all kinds of issues. After rebooting, you can confirm your overclocked speed using Msm7KCpuSpeed. That should do it! |

Re: [ROM] Project: Teya 1.1.0 [09-Dec-2010]
Ok finally got my sim card in the mail. I have configured it and ran with this new rom for the day. here are my observations:
PRO'S 1. Much smoother running than i thought it would be. I overclocked it after i flashed and it has been smooth sailing. barely any lag and no freezes or lockups on me yet. 2. It has everything i need in a rom. RSS hub, wifi router, opera mini, etc... 3. has a decent amount of memory available so that i can do things and listen to a podcast at the same time without getting the dreaded "out of memory" message 4. CHT lockscreen runs smooth as butter. in other roms when using the CHT lockscreen it bogs the phone down 5. never had a sim card phone so i was worried that i would need to keep it on global to send the text messages, thus killing the battery. But that wasnt the case. i configured the card then set the phone to cdma only.. still works CON's 1. swype seems laggy 2. Alarm doesnt work!!! i tryed diff ring tones everything. it pops up on the screen but no sound. i use my phone as an alarm so now im kinda stuck 3. i do have one energy rom esk request. please include the ability to change your start menu layout. I always used "compact" which saves about 10 - 14 more mb's!! its a great tool. 4. CHT editor keeps giving me a crash error messege after clicking quit.. the changes are saved so it aint a biggy.. but its weird. Other than that im good. im about to flash the newest one now.. cheers!! |

Issues: 1. It is the newest version of swype which has haptic feedback, this may slow it down when compared to older versions. However, I haven't really experienced swype lag, other than when messages are loading. This is a known issue with HTC messaging. 2. I haven't had that problem, try again after you flash Teya 1.1.0 and please report back. Has anybody else had this problem? 3. I never considered it, because my start menu is optimized and the memory footprint has been reduced a bunch compared to stock. But I will definitely look into that for the next release. 4. This is a known issue with CHTE |
Re: [ROM] Project: Teya 1.1.0 [09-Dec-2010]
thanks for getting back so quick.. another issue. i cant find where to edit the download settings for email. it use to be under text messges,menu,options,settings.. then a window would pop up asking you to change signatures and download settings for email. Now i can get into text message signatures settings but no email settings at all. im new to 23X so im just clueless as to where it is..
Just tried the alarm after flashing 1.1 .. works!!!!!! thx again for ur efforts |
Re: [ROM] Project: Teya 1.1.0 [09-Dec-2010]
nice! currently running teya v1.1.0 @ 710.4mhz! love it! thanks for all your work. been running it for about an hour now, but im still setting everything up, will post a more detailed review a little later after ive had a chance to really mess around with it...
for now i have one question though, is there a way to program the left sofkey from action to contacts? since the action tab doesnt work, it would be nice to have it do something useful... *edit* i was able to change the left softkey with bsb tweaks, but there is no contact's shortcut in the program list, so i was not able to program it to contacts, only to the phone. maybe you can add a contacts shortcut to the program list with the next update? |

ok. well when your at the home screen and slide over to the mail tab it freezes sense. srnse only though. u can still click start and get through the phone that way but sense os locked up. blank black background and the slider ceases to work till soft reset.... all i got 4 now. |

i also noticed that my home screen wallpaper seems to be zoomed in, while all the other tabs seem to be normal. also, when locking the phone, the softbar remains until the screen goes off, then it disappears, this might be a cht problem, it happens with the nrg rom to. you can press the softkeys but nothing happens in the lockscreen, but behind the lockscreen after you unlock, anything you pressed happens... |
Re: [ROM] Project: Teya 1.1.0 [09-Dec-2010]
is there a way to disable the weather animation on the home screen, the full screen animation i mean, its pretty annoying. i thought it got disabled in the cht editor by un-checking 'enable sun rays on wallpaper' but i guess not.
i still cant get tcpmp to work, it installs fine, but when i go to play a video it crashes. this sucks because i like to watch movies/shows on my phone a lot, and tcpmp is one of the only apps ive found that works for watching .avi's... |

To turn off full screen weather animation: On the home tab, swipe up and you will have your CHT quick links. By default, I have the toggle switch on the bottom left. ================================================== ======================================= Let's try to isolate the problem: One thing you guys can try (I know it sucks), but re-flash and before restoring any backup or adding any other cabs, test the things you were having problems with. If the problem is not there at the beginning, it is a matter of troubleshooting what cab or what in the restore is breaking things in the ROM. |
Re: [ROM] Project: Teya 1.1.0 [09-Dec-2010]
bummer, all right, i will re-flash tomorrow and test the problems before installing anything and i will redo all my settings instead of importing anything and see if that helps...

Re: [ROM] Project: Teya 1.1.0 [09-Dec-2010]
Too many new ROMs to try between you and Fulldeck!! which one to choose??! lol.. Thanks Jmart for the update!

Re: [ROM] Project: Teya 1.1.0 [09-Dec-2010]
okay so i re-flashed and hard reseted it afterwards. i did not import or install anything, all i did was go through cht and set it up the way i like manually, dialled *228 and programed it, and hooked it up via active sync to sync my calender and phone numbers etc.
-the wallpaper still looks like its being magnified, like its trying to set itself to a much bigger screen., the top and bottom bars look fine, just the main wallpaper. its almost like a clear film to which the widgets are set on top of, like the clock, calendar, quick links etc... -email tab still freezes sense, have to set email in a quick link, which isnt a big deal, just need to re arrange some things |

i have attached 3 screen shots of my fresh install with no importation of any saved data from sashimi xda_uc or cookie.
question is, i want to have the mini text clock/date bar at the top of the first one, with the radio playing. i want to be able to put those bars at the top on every screen except the main level on the home page that has the bigger clock and calendar. it seems to be limited to 1 per page per level. anyway to get around this? okay, i really gotta go to bed now... lol,,, |
Re: [ROM] Project: Teya 1.1.0 [09-Dec-2010]
Everything is OK for me for a moment, except I can not call any number from my phonebook! :(
Because all numbers are starting from +37.... (Europe) |

Where are you setting your wallpaper at? It looks to me like you have set a standard WVGA wallpaper to wide under CHT. Please have a look and report back Quote:

The alarm thing is very strange, it worked before anything got installed. I would suggest from a fresh flash install one cab at a time and soft reset. Test the alarm after each soft reset |
Re: [ROM] Project: Teya 1.1.0 [09-Dec-2010]
jmart518, thank you for quick reply.
Also bottom scroll-area doesn't work in Opera. It is looks like it doesn't work at all (in some ROMs you can use it like up/down buttons, which is very usable) |

Also when I'm trying to use Sence's tabs, and pressing central softbutton on main screen, it's always jumping to Photos&Videos tab. Is it a bug?

-you were right, i had it set for wide portrait instead of the normal portrait, fixed it, no its all good. thanks... -also, i just had my phone lock up or sod on me a couple times in a row. not sure why, after locking phone the screen goes out like normal, then i cant get it to come back on, i have to soft reset from back panel or remove battery. i lowered the OC settings to see if that is what was causing it, but it didnt help. no i have it set back to factory speed and its not doing it, although im not sure if the OC is the problem, ive had it OC'd since last night with no problems and i was only set to 710mhz... |
Re: [ROM] Project: Teya 1.1.0 [09-Dec-2010]
Thanks for the updates. So far everything is working as it should for me except that Youtube now seems to be a bit buggy, crashing every now and then which is more apparent now than before. My suspicions were with the updated Imagio MR2 radio but I can't prove that yet.
There is a slight hesitation when waking the phone up and sliding to unlock but nothing that I can't live with. Excellent work Jmart. |

i did this method after re-flashing to try and pin point some errors i was getting, worked great for about 12 hours, then anytime i set the clock higher that 528mhz (stock) it would not allow my screen to turn on after putting my phone in lock mode (would just stay blank no matter what i did). i un-installed OC_Autov4.21 and installed SetCpuSpeed-1.0d.cab (attached below) which does pretty much the same thing. this fixed the problem i was having, i am now running at 633mhz and stepping up slowly, will probably stop at 710mhz as thats what i was at before and seemed to be stable and fast enough for me. although, im not quit sure what the Msm7KCpuSpeed program is there for except to check the clock speed, because im not using it to increase or decrease the clock speed, SetCpuSpeed-1.0d does that, is it just to check the clock speed as i have been using it for? or does it hold some other purpose behind the scenes? |
