only thing im really bummed about is not getting tcpmp to work. im not stuck on tcpmp for any other reason than it plays .avi's and other video formats. does anybody out there know of any programs that will run video formats on this rom, or possibly a codec pack for wmp?

Really all Msm7KCpuSpeed is good for is checking your clock speed. It can also adjust your cpu clock speed by adjusting the slider, but as soon as your phone goes to sleep, it will lock up and require a reset. Msm7KCpuSpeed won't clock the phone down to 604Mhz when it goes to sleep so it freezes. SetCpuSpeed and OC_Auto both sense when the phone goes in out and of sleep and automatically down clocks and overclocks the proc accordingly to avoid "most" of the lockups.

would also like to know what the advantages are. i like mini, it does seem to load pages much faster and is more responsive and looks a lot nicer. what i dont like is that the bookmarks folder inside mini does not coincide with the favorites folder in the web tab or the bookmarks folder in opera, i.e. if your using mini and set a bookmark, it will not save it to the web tab's favorites folder like opera would, it sets it in its own bookmark folder inside mini which you cant seem to get around. also whats with the start page on mini with the links, looks like you could set it for some bookmark links, but i cant seem to figure out how to delete the ones that are already there which is very annoying, cant figure out how to skip this page entirely either. not anything that is going to keep me from using it though, overall mini is more pleasing to the eye, finger and patience...

TCPMP works, but you have to find an altered version or mess with the settings so that it doesn't crash all the time. Here is a post that has an altered version with some codecs. Ultimately though I got tired of messing with it and just bought CorePlayer. Much better program and plays avi/divx movies right off with excellent quality.

There is also a DIVX player for windows mobile... but it's not all that.

yea, i tried that version of tcpmp, actually i used the one with the master codec pack 6, but same thing just more codecs. i tried messing with the settings, but could never get it to play. maybe ill check out the divx player, thanks...

*edit*

i found a copy of core player v1.3.6 buld 7427 and it works great, waaaaay better than tcmp did, no glitches, clear streaming video and audio...

this is now my favorite rom. now the only think left to fix is the email tab, if this is fixt this rom will be perfect...

big red actually sent you a replacement imagio? damn, online it said they were out of stock then they took it off their website phone line-up last time i checked. i was wondering if they had discontinued them altogether and would let you pick from different models (equal or lesser value) as replacements like they had done in the past when they discontinued the use of certain models. oh well, not that it really matters, with overclocking and this rom my imagio is now super quick and super slick, the only reason i wanted another phone was because my imagio was so damned laggy before. i definitely dont have that problem anymore...

So I know this has already been mentioned but I am gonna bring it up again to try and second the motion. Can you bring WM Messaging back in the next version instead of HTC Messaging? HTC Messaging seems laggy and slow to bring up a full conversation between people. I am a heavy texter and like the look and feel (and speed) of WM Messaging.

i do like wm messaging better than htc messaging as well...

also, i keep getting blank text messages from the voice mail system, like 2 or three per voice mail, and its pretty annoying. anyone have any idea how to turn that off or fix the phone from doing that?

Re: [ROM] Project: Teya 1.1.0 [09-Dec-2010]

So after playing with the Teya rom for a few hours I have noticed a few things that may require attention.

1. In google maps the zoom bar below the screen does not work.

2. In media applications, namely youtube, there is no visual slider when adjusting volume.

3. And lastly the first time I flashed the rom launch broke after soft reset and wouldnt restart. had to reflash and that fixed it, not sure what caused this.

Ok CHT lockscreen issue. Not sure if its jusrt CHT or this rom. When i use the cht lockscreen the clock gets rammed up to the tippy top. and the "freeram" box is sitting there. Also the camara and menu buttons are present.. and work.. they shouldnt be there if the phone is locked. u can accidently hit them meaning ur drainin ur battery.. screenshot included

I've only ever used the WM messaging since that is what (i think) the Energy ROMs use. I really like the HTC messaging. My vote is to keep it.

It is WAY faster when trying to send an MMS directly from the camera, and at least to me it seemed faster with just standard SMS too....

Neither one really bothers me. i do notice one diff though. Swype lags more with HTC messaging. Other than that i look the look of HTC messaging

when at your home screen, hit menu/edit lockscreen layout. configure your layout so its to your liking and not crammed up all in the top.

the softbar buttons showing up during lockscreen i think is an issue with cht 2.0. they go away as soon as the screen turns off, so its not that big of an issue, all be it kind of annoying to a perfectionist like myself...

I've also noticed this. I'm in love with the standard keyboard though, so it didn't bother me. One of the biggest things I'll miss when I switch to another phone will be this keyboard, I like it 100 times better than my wife's HTC Incredible keyboard.

i just tested the alarm and it worked fine for me. i set alarm 1 up to repeat and vibrate with the alarm 1 sound. it vibrated a few times then the sound went off. sounds like you might need to re-flash the rom. make sure not to transfer any saved settings/info over with sashimi/uc-xda or any other program. it sucks, but i had some problems with this rom at first from doing that, i re-flashed and re entered all my info and settings from scratch and it fixed a lot of the problems i was having...

ive reflashed and set nothing in it at all and tried it.. a no go. and i only use spb backup for pim data only. gonna lfash to an energy rom now and see if thats it. if it dont work on that either then its a messed up phone.

*update*

ok i flashed to energy christmas edition. alarm works both before and after installing my pim backup.... Ill reflash to teya and test again...

**update**

ok reflashed and both before and after pim backup it worked.. so i guess i gotta go through my programs one by one... boooooooo

ok spb backup.. works still
ok VVM .. works still
ok best crypto.. works still
ok memmaid .. works still

thats the 4 programs i use so now im stumped.. ok 1 thing left. Overclocking

and....... it works.. now i feel like an idiot. no clue whats going on but sorry to waste anyones time...

so ive been having my screen not come back on after a phone call recently, not sure if this is a rom problem or maybe an OC problem. since i oc'ed my phone right after i flashed to 1.1.0. it doesnt happen with every phone call, so far it seems to only happen on phone calls lasting over a few mins, i have to soft reset via the button on the back panel. i reset my clock speed to 633mhz after the last time it happened, so we shall see if that makes a difference.

has anyone else experienced this with this rom, or with oc'ing?

I can almost guarantee that is OC, it used to happen to me with the first OC scripting workaround.

Just to give you guys a quick update:

-I have been working like crazy to get to the bottom of the current bugs and have resolved most of them.
-Look for a new release in the next day or two containing many bug fixes and new features!

On a side note, I really appreciate you guys helping each other out on some of the issues! Also, thank you to those that represent Teya in sigs/elsewhere that is super cool!

Ok here it is. Install both to device not Sd card.

Install setcpu first. i use 710mhz, standby of 604 mhz, and polling i leave at 200

then install the Nosod

soft reset

all set. I get no hangups, no freezes, no issues at all.

so do i use the mm7k_nosod.cab in place of the mm7kcpuspeed_v2.cab or in addition to it? (i already have setcpuspeed-1.0d.cab and mm7kcpuspeed_v2.cab installed on my device)...

*EDIT*

i un-installed the mm7kcpuspeed_v2.cab before i installed the mm7k_nosod.cab and it seems to be running okay, i havnt gotten an SOD yet. my question is can i re-install the mm7kcpuspeed_v2.cab so i can have a visual on my cpu speed without affecting what the mm7k_nosod.cab is doing?

would it be possible to include a user interface program for xda_uc for backing up/restoring pim/settings, possibly similar to nrg's in the energy roms, in the next update? i believe the program was included with the last update but i cant find it anywhere. i mean its not that big of a deal, i have sashimi/sktools but having an interface program like nrgz on the energy rom is just so much easier to use, one click, boom. done...

u can uninstall the m7cpuspeed. it simply tells u ur speed. the setcpuspeed 1.0d is now ur OC app. the m7cpuspeed..noSODphone now stops the sod. u dont need all 3 but all 3 doesnt hurt

Wow really impressed with this rom so far, i am having 2 problems that are deal breakers for me though.

Pressing the red hard button turns off the screen.. cant find a way to stop it from doing that.

Set the input to Swype and now whenever i go to type something in htc messaging the phone freezes and i have to use the button on the back to reset it.. looking like im going to have to re-flash..

EDIT: Reflashed and it worked for 2 minutes and now it locks up every time i try to input any text.. great rom but completely useless when this happens...

Re: [ROM] Project: Teya 1.1.0 [09-Dec-2010]

Ok, after a ton of work, first post updated with new release: Project: Teya 1.2.0!

Code:

Change log:
-Updates Sys to WM 23151
-Whole new home screen look

Fixes:
-E-mail tab
-Zoom bar in Google Maps
-Volume indicator in YouTube
-Plus-code dialing

Added:
-Toggle between default WM messaging and HTC Messaging
-Toggle to switch between WM Start menu and QuickMenu
-Toggle Screen off with End Key
-CHT Weather widget
-CHT Digital Clock

Project Teya [Customizations] located in the start menu (also opens on first boot) is a program that I have written that allows the user to toggle between many different things in the ROM. This is basically a one stop shop to customize your ROM, also includes PIM backup, Screen Shot and auto install of cabs and restore.

I now have a donation button in my signature for anybody that would like to show their appreciation. Donations are never required, but definitely appreciated! Every little bit helps and thanks again everybody, I hope to you enjoy Project: Teya 1.2.0!

You just replasing "+" with "011" :( It could work in the USA, but doesn't work for Europe. Dialer should be able to dial numbers which are started with "+".

Re: [ROM] Project: Teya 1.2.0 [16-Dec-2010]

Ok so not sure what exactly is going on here but as I prefer windows messaging to htc messaging when I first boot the phone I changed my messaging settings to WM Messaging. But then I noticed that I wasnt receiving MMS messages. So I reopened the Project Teya customization app and tried switching back to HTC messaging to see if that was the problem but upon clicking the toggle switch for switching between WM and HTC messaging I received the following errors:

http://i53.tinypic.com/23hpylt.png

and then I clicked the details button and received the following:

http://i53.tinypic.com/fopw21.png

http://i51.tinypic.com/4hecs0.png

It would appear there is more too it but it says I dont have NETCF installed so I cant see the message, maybe you would like to check into this and possibly into why MMS wasn't coming through.

Re: [ROM] Project: Teya 1.2.0 [16-Dec-2010]

ok sorry for massive images and triple posting but I just reflashed and left all teya settings default and everything is working now. mms is coming through. afraid to change it to wm messaging for fear of it breaking mms again etc.
