The HTC volume works 100% for everything but phone dialer unless you have installed a custom taskbar which may break it. I had to hack the phone dialer resources to get the dialer to display properly on the big button com5 build as do the other chefs that use com5 for any phone. The first couple presses of volume up or down in the phone dialer shows the ugly microsoft default one and after a few presses the htc one will kick in. Rotation of phone is mapped to the multimedia key as its really annoying to have the phone auto rotate everytime you move it and it really slows the phone down.

So I am going to flash for the first time. I got the unlocker, Dress's ROM, and the stock (just in case). A few quick questions. First, my current system - Stock Verizon ROM, TF3D 2.0, WM6.5(Duh)
1) I am running several performace programs, will they be needed or work with this new ROM? They are:
AtomAng Enhanced D3D Driver
SSK TP2 Dynamic Resources
ShareRAMsize
2) I am also using cookie 4 columns start and all programs, I love having so many buttons for my programs right there in one spot (I added the shortcut tab). Will I need it or will it work with this ROM
3) I also added TCruz's Mega Color cab. Can I add color to this UI or will this cab work with this?
4) Swype. I have the old original cab, and want this to work with the new ROM. I keep reading its not working, or the 3.9 isn't? Will swype work or not?
5) can I get background on all pages, or is there a program like HDWalls that will work with it?

Sorry for all the questions, but only want to flash once, so am kinda 'shopping' around, looking at 'options' before I do this.

I can attest that the original Swype works. But I wonder if it has contributed to some of my stability issues.

I was told shareramsize doesn't work on Sense 2.5.

The new beta 3 download is broken. Gets to around 100mb and says its done. Tried it twice.

I just downloaded and extracted it with no issues. Any idea what is new/changed in this Beta?
