I never use VVM, and usually go into Program Files and delete it. Google Voice ftw. I would like to have HTC Messaging back, and am using Beta 2 because I prefer it over the stock SMS/MMS client.

Are you able to make an HTC Messaging Client cab for those who want it?

Drellisdee will you be updating the alpha 1 rom SYS 21895 Sense 2.5 2012? If so there is a problem with it on the start menu. The "lock" text seems to high up and it causes the softkey highlight not to work. Also I would love to see this with htc messaging client removed and use wm one instead. HTC one is too laggy.

Beta 4 is up its same as beta 3 changes but with HTC Messaging included and arcsoft removed so its like beta 2 was for messaging.

I suppose one way to handle it that might please everyone could be to include the known good older versions and provide a CAB of some kind (understanding this may be hard or impossible) to "upgrade" to the newer HTC messaging/album modules.

I personally really liked MMS with the HTC Messaging, I always had problems with HTC Album and MMS on the stock ROM. It all worked, but I had to wait a good 20-30 seconds before MMS would come up if I tried to send a picture from the album or the camera app. The newer HTC messaging's attachment button was much more intuitive and workable for me. That said, I also get frustrated with how slow it is to type in new HTC Messaging and the (seeming) lack of a way to cancel a message you started.

In a "has to be one or the other" case, my vote would be for the older stuff that works properly even if it has less functionality. I'm sure there are a great number of ways to add a fancier SMS/MMS client

I always feel like the HTC Messaging Client makes EVERYTHING slow. Scrap it, go with the stock and let the Visual VM trigger work!

LOL... this reminds me of the Juicy thread in TP2 forum about 4 months ago... he removed HTC messaging and found out that it actually breaks more than anything! They actually have the Sense 2.1 messaging client in that kitchen that is the best of both worlds...

EDIT: Oh and BTW... the very next ROM version had it back in... and has been since.
