Good bye Vogue and 2G?
I just got letter from Sprint saying that they are discontinuing 2G service on 12/31/09. They are requiring me to upgrade my phone without a contract renewal. My options are Samsung M330, Sanyo S1, Sanyo SCP-2700 or $150 credit. A rep will call me to assist me. Those phones suck, so I guess $150 is my only option. I would rather keep my Vogue.
I thought the Vogue was a 3G? I'm getting 1.5-2 Mb/s and .4 - .8 Mb/s up? If that isn't 3G then I can't wait for 4G. Could it be that they are changing frequencies in my area?
I'm going to try and stand firm and have an issue with every option they present me with, I'm going to see if I can get them to give an Android phone and still keep Sero. After all it's Sprint who is inconveniencing me and wants me to change phones. I feel my chances are very slim but better then if I was calling them out of the blue and asking for it.
