Freeze and Lag Issues

Is anyone else having any issues with the phone freezing and lagging continuously when you go into texts and email? I am using NFSFans 6.5 ROM and and having issues with it. I love the ROM but was wondering if there was a fix to this issue. I dont have anything else loaded on my phone, just the ROM and a couple of songs on my micro SD card, so I dont think its because of the programs running on the phone.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Freeze and Lag Issues

I'm not having those issues freqyently and I'm not running the same rom but I can suggest you get and use an app like CleanRam that will help to clean up things and free up ram to help when things are lagging. You can find it in the PPC Software Forum.

Re: Freeze and Lag Issues

I was having the same problem. Yesterday I installed microsoft's MyPhone and all of the text messages were synchronized, then I archived them. The next time my phone synced up with MyPhone the text messages were wiped from my phone and now I no longer have a lag issue. I was just going to delete them all anyway, because I had a feeling it was due to the massive amounts of text messages that was causing the lagging. I had over 3000 saved. They were all in the conversation format, so I'm assuming it takes a good deal of memory to remember the structure and organization of that many text messages every time the Messaging center is opened.

If you don't mind losing your text messages, try deleting them all. If you want to save them, back them up with either myphone or something else and then delete them. I think you'll be surprised at the difference.

Also try removing some of the old email.

Re: Freeze and Lag Issues

Thanks for the help guys. I tried to re-install the ROM, which seems to have done the trick so far. I tried to delete the texts before, and it would not do anything. I have put the cleanRAM cab in my phone, so hopefully that should do the trick. I'm hoping V16 of NFSFAN's ROM will run better too.

Thanks for the help once again!

Re: Freeze and Lag Issues

Glad to hear things are working better. I should have told you earlier that along with CleanRam which will clean ram memory, I recommend using an app called ClearTemp that will clear out cache, cookies, history, and other temporary files from storage memory so things don't get filled up and sluggish . If you use both every week things seem to run better.
