Touch won't wake up when I hit power button
I don't know what happened but before I could use the button on the top of the phone to turn off the screen and turn it back on. Now, when I press it, it does turn off the screen but it won't turn it back on. actually, once I hit it to get the screen off, nothing but a soft reset will get the phone back on again.
what happened? what can I do? Thank you! |

its a known issue. call to sprint. ask to talk to tech. ask if you can do a advanced exchange. its free. we do it all the time.

You could try a hard reset and see if it works after that. If it doesn't work right after that then you know it is a hardware problem and not software. Meaning there is a problem with the switch itself. Worth a try if you are thinking of exchanging it anyway.

If it is not a hardware problem, it could be something freezing up on the phone. I had the same issue - ended up being the HTC stock "Today" screen. Since I never really used it for more than seeing the time (and I have a watch for that), I turned it off, and have not had a freeze on my phone since.
Just a thought!
