I've tried most of the popular ROMs out now but I must second (or third or fourth ect) Jtuite's 21806 rom! This rom is by far the fastest and lightest I've ever seen for a vogue. I know it is bare bones and some don't care to go through the trouble of setting one of these up but if you are like me, after a bit of setup time it runs extremely fast and it just works!
And Touch-ee my advise for you is to go back through the old posts and look over in XDA development section, find programs you think you'd want/need and run them. Also don't be afraid to run the unlocker and experience what these different ROMs have to offer. I too was a 0 knowledge noob about a year ago and now I know enough to get me into trouble
