Re: USCC WEATHER Tab
try using active sync and copy it out of the windows folder to your desktop. Then change so its not read only. Then you can right click the file and edit it using note pad. then just drag it back in to your windows folder..

Re: USCC WEATHER Tab
I tried this. Does not work. Like I said, the file is in the rom. I cannot copy fixed file. I also use Vista, and under vista the window's directory is hidden.

Re: USCC WEATHER Tab
As far as I know the only way to get certain cities is to download Htc Home Customizer and install. Then you need to go over to xda and look for the fix for this which redirects the weather download to a different location to get your local weather. Now I am not sure if this still works because this was set up a long time ago back when the Vogue was new.
I suggest that you set your weather to the nearest city in the database and then to get more info click in the top right corner on the part of the weather tab where it shows the next four days which says more and that will take you to the accuweather site and you can enter your zipcode and you can get complete info including radar and forcast. ![]()

Re: USCC WEATHER Tab
Thanks guys for the suggestions.
1. I tried doing this with copying to desktop and then copying back. Permission denied. So this doesn't work. 2. What is the point of having a weather tab at all IF you can't get your local weather??? If I have to go to the web site on Internet Explorer to get my local weather, THEN I would just boot IE and go there. :/ I what to ask again, WHOSE bright idea was it to restrict the weather applet to you couldn't add your local weather????? This reminds me of machine shop engineers. If it works on paper it will work in the "real world." .. .. so much education, so bloody stupid. |
