Detailed steps on how to upgrade VWZ 6.1 to 6.5

Hello,

I have recently done my Sprint Vogue to WinMo 6.5 - after seeing my phoen my father wants to upgrade is stock Verizon phone to WinMo 6.5... (100% Stock)

I am great at flashing Sprint hardware - but am lost on Verizon (maybe because I do not do it)....

Could someone give me step by step instructions on how to do it and what to expect?

Like:

Step 1: Use Unlocker .41 coke
Step 2: Use XXXXX Rom to upgrade Radio to 3.42.XX (like sprint)
Step 3: Use unlocker 2.31 coke
Step 4: ------------------- (use a custom winmo 6.1??)
Step 5: Upgrade to Winmo 6.5???

Sorry I saw steps throughout the system but not making clear sense to me and would hate to brick my dads phone... Also I have read something about a "A Key" what is that and is that given by verizon only, and what to do if something fails...

Follow the same process that you used for sprint.

You may have to dial *228 option #1 or call VZW if there is no service after unlocking.

The second step may not be necessary.

Please note that this process for me required one call to Verizon to get them to get it set up in the system again. One other possibility is that if you have an old Verizon phone, you can activate it, then activate the XV6900 again using the Verizon Wireless website, makes it a little less painful. And following that, probably just again like jadesse says, do *228 and option 1 on the phone.
