Do I need to downgrade before I upgrade?

Hey guys,

I currently am running NFSFAN's v12 custom 6.5 Rom with 3.37.78 radio. I used IAMCOKEMAN's 2.31 unlocker to unlock my phone.

I want to UPgrade my radio to the latest like you all do to 3.42.50 but I am having some troubles here.

Do I need to Downgrade to VZW stock rom, and then unlock with a diff. unlocker, use olipro 2.4 then flash the radio, and then my cust. rom again?!

I know this is probably an easy no brainer for most of you, but I have spent countless hours searching here, howards forums and such and am truely lost.

Are you getting bad reception with your current radio?
Think it will make a huge diff? Might be a lot of work for little or no improvement. Just wondering.

I have flashed a half a dozen times or so, but NFSFAN is realeasing a new build here soon looks like and I am tinker-er and I just like the have the newest shizzzz ya know?

So I figure I might as well beef up the reception a bit for my GPS right??

Plus I want to run ANDROID 1.5 which they suggest that you update to 3.42.50.

I know its work but I like a challenge Thanks again man!

Do Not Flash A Radio That Is Not Inted For Your Phone. If You Are On Verizon Stick With Their Radio. There Little To No Benefit To Upgrading To The Bell Radio.

I would say check out codybears faq and read through that. It should say what the correct process is. Otherwise, try to contact nfsfan on xda and ask him for his suggestion.
