Broken earpiece

I have noticed that the earpiece speaker on my vogue is kinda broken. When I receive a call, I can barely hear anything. I believe it is because I upgraded to win mo 3.5 and had put the speaker volume pretty high. Is there a way to fix this? Like a DIY replacement of the speaker in the vogue?

-thanks a lot for your help.

Re: Broken earpiece

Uh, Winmo 3.5? Never heard of it. It might just be the ROM youre using, it might not have a regedit for louder volume.

Re: Broken earpiece

sorry .. windows mobile 6.5. Yeah .. some ROM based off it. I guess the ROM already had the regedit for higher volume. And I believe thats what broke my ear-piece speakers.

I would try a hard reset followed by a fresh official flash. Yeah I know it sucks. I've heard of some 6.5 ROMs editing the reg. for more volume and this would be the problem. If that don't work maybe you do have hardware failure. In that case a quick Binggle search popped this up. http://cgi.ebay.com/Earpiece-Repair-...28141005r33698
Good luck.
