The first time I did it, I had to wait a rather long time to get a lock. I left it by the window while I watched a movie. After the movie, I had around 5-7 locks. Now, I get 2 satellite locks instantly. Try waiting a bit.

Which software did you use? I had my running all night once with no lock, but it wasn't near any opened windows just near my bed.

Re: Vx6900 Gps "help 911"

I was using GPS Viewer. If you can see the satellites but can't get a lock, then the signal probably isn't strong enough. Try it outside or near a window

I've tried the one trick with QPST where I put the phone in DIAG (##3424) and play with the gONE settings, do I need a possible upgrade or down grade on my antenna? WTF

Re: Vx6900 Gps "help 911"

ok... whenever you first got your xv6900, did you let customizations run on the verizon ROM? If so, you have some work to do.

check this link, follow everything the first 4 steps say to a tee.

I wasn't the one that did the flashing so i don't know what the person did, but you think my GPS was disable due to the flashing, I followed these here for step 6 http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=36377 so do you think i need to put in the Verizon info instead of Cricket

Re: Vx6900 Gps "help 911"

aGPS uses data. You don't need to do the agps fix if you don't want. It only creates faster locks. Codybear has a link in his sig to a faq. In that faq, you should select the carrier specific items. In there it tells you how to get aGPS working for verizon.
