Touch from Sprint

Before I buy one from a trusty ppcgeekster, I was wondering if anyone has received one recently as a upgrade. I have my $150 upgrade and was thinking about getting one. Before you guys start bashing me..yes I've tried both the TP and diamond. Battery life was an issue on both and it felt clunky. The touch fits my style and has all the features my old mogul had (plus more mem).

Any takes?

I love my Vogue.
It has been great to me.
There are a lot of things you can do with it and it is a pretty rugged device. I say good choice!

Yea, I've been looking around checking out diff sprint stores just to see if they have any left. But it seems its such a dyno now and days.

I ordered a couple for my in-laws through RadioShack.com and they were free with the upgrade. I couldn't find a better deal anywhere else. I took less than a week to get them also.

Nice, wouldn't have thought to check radioshack. I'll post back to let you guys how that goes.

Exactly. Stopped in at our local Radio Shack last week, mainly to check out the Palm Pre, and noticed they had Sprint Touch for free! Couldn't believe it, so I checked with a salesperson to see if they actually had any. He checked it on his computer, and they did have stock. Meanwhile, I'm looking at my Vogue's scratched screen, thinking about a free replacement. He told me it would cost me $19.99 and I'd have to be at least 23 months into my 2-yr contract. The free deal is for new lines. Still, $20 for a replacement Vogue sure beats Assurian's $100 deductable.

Crud, just checked one of my local radioshacks...none there, going to call up some places to see if they have any in stock. He says I wont find any anywhere but I'll check anyways.

I dumped my TP for my old Vogue too. The Vogue with a 2000mah battery is hard to beat. Almost the same size as the TP (same thickness) but I can stream audio for 6+ hours and get 11+ hours of mp3s. I just wish it had a better display.

I've seen them go for $60 on Craigslist.

I was thinking maybe it's not worth using your rebate on. Don't get me wrong, it's a great phone, but there are better out there. The huge drawback that I see is the lack of Wifi, but if you have a data plan then this is probably a non-issue for you. I do have unlimited data, and yet I still wish the Vogue had wifi. I also wish it had the g-sensor. But going back to what you said, all of these features do drain the battery as you have experienced with the pro and diamond. If you can find one NEW for the sub $100 mark, it might be better to buy it straight up and save your $150 rebate for a better phone. This is just my 2 cents, but it may be biased since I've owned the phone for a year and a half now. I wouldn't use my rebate on another vogue. I'll wait for phones shipping with WM7, or at least 6.5.

To tell you the truth, the vogue is pound-for-pound the best phone I've owned and I'll keep it as long as I can, so why not... if the mood strikes and the deal is right, go for it!

Asurion is giving out Diamond for the Touch. They have none left. I love my Touch. I gave it new life with WM6.5 ROM with TF2D too. give it footprints and it's Freaaakking awesome!
