Radio ?

Can anyone verify what the better radio is for internet connection while tethering. I'm on the sprint radio .30 now, and was wondering if the .50 bell radio is better. My situation is when I'm at work I get evdo service with the .30 radio, but there are maybe 1 bar or no bars and the connection is slow. So I was wondering if I upgrade to the .50 radio if I would get any better service hell even if its 2 bars i'd be happy because it seems when the bars spike to 2-3 my internet speeds up almost triple.

Also is there any harm in downgrading to the .30 from the .50 rom, since they are both gps and rev a i wouldn't think so, but i'm not sure.

I have upgraded and downgraded between .50 and .30 without major any problems. Only slight problem was that I had to do a HLR reload by a sprint rep when I went from .30 to .50.. During that process, my roaming/data was knocked out.

I did not notice any performance changes from .30 to .50. I was still getting the usual bars but performance definitely didn't decrease so I assume it's best to have the most updated radio (.50). Goodluck!

Re: Radio ?

I seem to have a better signal. Not a bar increase but while streaming I would always drop at one particular spot. 50 doesnt drop in that spot.

I say try it. I don't recall having issues after the upgrade. I do have the sprint dcd cab incase I have issues.
