Re: IM Client that uses SMS
What about the regular mobile text incorporated into AIM? You can link your AIM screen name to your mobile when you are offline (away from the computer). All the messages sent to your AIM screen name goes to your phone as a text message.
http://mobile.aol.com/aolproducts/imforwarding Only caveat is lag time variation between texts; text sometimes come in chunks as a result. I'm sure there are other 3rd party apps that suits you better though. |

Re: IM Client that uses SMS
I have that setup, but I rarely turn off AIM on my computer. I would like something where I can see a physical buddy list like the Verizon Mobile IM program, just for WM and that works.

Try SmartTouch http://www.smarttouchmobileinc.com/
Its the only program i have found that can use AIM through SMS. It also has a lot of other widgets you can use like Facebook, Twitter, Weather Channel, etc. It is a little slow and everything is text based but at least it works and it does not use any data. |

Re: IM Client that uses SMS
Theres actually a Mobile IM program FROM Verizon that does that, its very similar to the ones regular Verizon phones use, except when you log on with it (ive only tried the AIM one) shows your whole buddy list, im going to upload, give it a try.
