Is there any registry tweak (or similar) to make the GPS receiver more sensitive?

Can you increase power (like overclocking) sent to the GPS receiver to increase its sensitivity? I'm not sure if that would work but just an idea.

Reason being is that my Touch can not get any lock under foilage/trees when I go hiking. Sometimes, I'm not near trees and I still don't get locks!

GPS works fine in city; I can get a lock < 10 seconds everytime.

Pretty sure you can't overclock or anything...You can try to modify the registry to decrease the dependency on aGPS..

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\SUPL AGPS\GPSMode - change this to either 2 or 4 and reset the device.

if your ROM doesn't come with it, go here to get the PHM regedit: http://www.phm.lu/Products/PocketPC/RegEdit/

Use this program to modify your registry at the above said location.
