Or use total commander.
The only files explorer/registry editor I use. Well I use phm regedit when I want to export a registry entry, but that's it. Here's a link to Total commander cab on my rapid premium account: http://rapidshare.com/files/239508257/tcmdpocketarm.cab

Re: Windows Mobile File Explorer won't delete folders
I understand, but my problem is that when I attempt to highlight the folder so I can open the Menu, then Delete......the folder opens. If I then try to use Menu/Delete. The Delete option is not available since there is nothing to delete.
Am I doing something wrong? |

Re: Windows Mobile File Explorer won't delete folders
Try scrolling down to highlight the folder instead of clicking on it.

Reddog,
No good. No matter HOW you highlight the folder, it opens and the Delete option is disabled. This has me puzzled. ![]() |

Re: Windows Mobile File Explorer won't delete folders
Have you tried just press and holding your finger/stylus
on the folder you want to delete and then going to delete from that menu that pops up? You'll want to make sure you press and hold it in one move so the phone doesn't think that you want to open the folder. If that makes any sense. |

Absolutely great !!!! Works like a charm. Hey, I never knew that holding the item causes another options menu to pop up.
Heck, I wish there was a Help file on Windows Mobile 6.1. Thanks, that was super. I had added the Hou Ming Explorer File Extension. Now FE does enough for what I need it to do. Last edited by qanda6900; 06-02-2009 at 07:53 PM. |

Re: Windows Mobile File Explorer won't delete folders
Glad to hear that it worked for you.
If I ever get to a standstill I'll write one for 6.1, but for now, I've got tons of mods to create and tons of more things to add to my faq for 6.5. |
