Need help after ROM upgrade

My nephew flashed my XV6900 with a ROM from Sprint (wm v6.1 ROM) even though our carrier is Inland Cellular (in Idaho.)

Now...my cell works for calling just fine - the Today screen reports "Sprint" but it is on Inlands network.

My Internet doesn't connect it says my PCS Vision Username or Password is incorrect. Inland Cellular uses a generic connection without Username or Password.

Is there any way to remove the PCS Vision stuff, or flash another "generic" ROM? I really could live with all the other "Sprint" stuff if I could just get the internt to connect again...

Thanks!

You could flash a generic 6.5 Rom and that gets you away from the sprint rom its what alot of people are doing now. There are some in the here and xda.

Re: Need help after ROM upgrade

Your awesome, thanks! I am a systems consultant, so I am definitely computer literate; however, I have no clue which one I should use.

Could I go further and ask for a link to a ROM you would suggest?

I'll buy the beers!

Re: Need help after ROM upgrade

I'm using nfsfan's 6.5
Alot of people like it.
it's located here at xda:

and my nfsfan 6.5 rom faq is here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=508544
its more of a generic qvga faq, but started out as a nfsfan faq.

Re: Need help after ROM upgrade

The ROM that codybear suggested would be the one that I would recommend. It to me seem to be the fastest and most stable 6.5 rom out the (just my opinion). And you really cant go wrong with it since cody put together a whole thread on how to install and tweek to your liking.
