will the verizon official windows mobile 6.1 rom upgrade make it impossible to flash to a custom rom also will a custom rom give it

Dude.......The official Verizon 6.1 ROM came out......A LONG time ago.

The 6.1 rom from verizon is alot better than the 6.0 that came factory installed but it will also lockdown the internal GPS features of your phone. The 6.1 will not prevent you from flashing custom roms. You will still need to unlock the phone prior to flashing any custom ROM. The 6.1 update will just make you have to do a few extra steps to have GPS working on the custom ROM you decide to use.
