what happened was i installed .40 (tried .41 version as well) of coke unlocker. gui on my PC said "100% finished" - screen on phone stuck at bootloader - never rebooted by itself. manually rebooted and tried sprint upgrade - failed with error 328. It still said 2.31 so i think this is why it failed.

I thought you need to let the customizations run on the Verizon rom to downgrade your PRI? Is this not true?

I do let the customizations run when running 2.09 from the xda restore to stock thread in the wiki from my signature, though I have not looked through the notes to figure out which customizations are happening, I know that it downgrades the PRI to a point where it is possible to QPST/Reg hack GPS to work.

Sounds like whatever happened in .40 unlocker is prolly the issue. Try using unlocker .41 and see if that clears things. Before doing this take the battery out and then put it back in.
