SPRINT PRL Update April 2,2009 - 60652

As I was reading this thread I noticed my Touch had a notification: This update.

Anybody know what its about? What Changed? Anything better? Worse?

Mine updated when I was trying to reach the Sprint retentions department to get the pick-3-numbers-for-free option. I hit *2 and it said PRL is updating immediately on the screen. Maybe some of you should try *2 and see if it'd updates that way.

I did a manual update this morning. I'll be at a gig tonight that's on the fringe of EVDO where I got crappy signal last night so I should be able to tell if it's made a difference.

There was a little difference. I got maybe a bar or so more in the same location. it's a local casino and I notice that I always get worse signal in casinos probably due to all the secutity stuff. Internet was still slow as hell and it didn't give me EVDO unless I went all the way to the west of the building. Still, an improvement.

My phone updated around the same time everyone else's did... I just haven't noticed anything spectacular. Wait, it's speaking to me now, it's saying: "I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that"

JK, but I still have about 2-3 bars on this side of town as always. GPS still locks in about 20-50 seconds. No noticeable difference.
