Video recording is slow and skipping frames

Did anyone noticed how slow the video recording is? I tried to replace the memory card to class 6, but it still very slow. Its okay in S and M resolutions, but if you select L or CIF resolution in camera application, it is skipping frames and video frame rate is jerky.

I use Verizon's VX6900 and trying to record MPEG4 format. Motion JPEG does not record anything but sound, and other formats are very low-quality, so videos are difficult to watch.

I wonder if there's a way to fix that issue? Also maybe somebody using alternative VCR software that works smoother? Any input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Video recording is slow and skipping frames

Well, since nobody knows anything about this problem... here's some stuff I digged out. First of all, there are registry settings in HLKM/Software/HTC/Camera/RecParam/.... Playing with those might help a little bit. But it doesn't help a lot! I found no software newer than HTC Camera for Pocket PC Version 5.07 (Build 3056. I seen some camera 6.5, but the cab file I found didn't installed.

And finally, the format called Motion JPEG actually does record video. Although you can't play it on VX6900, you can play it on PC, and framerate is very good, 30FPS. With resolution 320X200.

I am still not very satisfied with video recording capabilities of this device, I think hardware can do more than that. So I'll keep looking for working software. Once again, if someone knows anything better, let me know.
