Re: Asurion now replacing the Touch for the Diamond
So for future reference, if anything ever happens to my phone and it is getting replaced. I do have the microSD slot which would be nice to have... but which phone is better? The Diamond or the TP? The TP obviously has terribe battery life, what are thoughts on the Diamond? Since it has internal flash memory, I could just settle for that... but then I'd have a waste of a microSD card...

Re: Asurion now replacing the Touch for the Diamond
In my opinion the only thing better about the pro is that its got a ton more storage memory (RAM) than the diamond so you can install more programs to the device rather than to internal storage or storage card. and a sd card slot would be nice but the 4gig internal memory has proven to be well more than enough for me.
I like the size of the diamond much better, I think it feels more solid than the pro, and my battery life is much better than my buddys pro. They're both great devices but for me the Diamond is the best choice.

Re: Asurion now replacing the Touch for the Diamond
Thanks Yearn, glad to see you're still checking out the old Touch pages =D>
I really want one of the new phones, I'm not gonna go out of my way to break my phone, but if it happens, I can't wait. I just can't decide if I want to bicker to get the TP because from reviews I've read it runs much smoother and operates a bit quickly? Let me know what you think. |

If you have had TEP since before Jan 1, 2009 then yes, our deductible was raised 4/20

Re: Asurion now replacing the Touch for the Diamond
ok so i have a few questions on how this works!? i like the vogue but i'm in need of new! i can upgrade my phone, cuz contract is up but i really want to wait till pro2. and thats to long, so say my phone was messing up and i made a claim, but if no vogues were in stock i would get the diamond? for the same price ductible 100? but i dont want a diamond cuz of the no sd card slot, so how could i try an get the pro? would i have to make a claim over phone to try for a pro or is there something online that could make that happen? and if i could get the pro would it be still 100? also would by getting either diamond or pro as replacement would sprint renew my contract? or would i still be able to get the pro2 wwhen it releases w/ my 150 off to renew contract?
thanks for any help

Re: Asurion now replacing the Touch for the Diamond
I would put in the claim up through where it says they're sending you a diamond, then call in with the claim number and say you can't be without the SD card, they should send you the TP... or they might find you a regular touch, it is up to them.

Re: Asurion now replacing the Touch for the Diamond
Don't worry, they won't renew your contract... I wouldn't try to argue to a TP, I would just call up and say that after you completed the form you looked online and saw that the 6950 phone (if that is how it is listed on the fulfillment page, or diamond if it actually says diamond) doesn't have an SD card slot and is there anything else they have they could send....
You don't want to sound like you are just trying to upgrade using insurance, as thats not what its for.... so even if you *are* upgrading using your insurance, try not to be too obvious ![]() |
