Help with 16gb Memory Card

I have purchased a 16gb sd card for my Touch, but it only shows up as 8gb on the phone. Can someone please help me to fix this issue so the phone knows it has a 16gb chip not 8?

Someone correct me if i'm wrong, but I think you may have to flash to the most recent rom from your wireless carrier.

I have no problem with mine.I put the 16 gb card in my touch and it worked without any problems.

I think as MiJenix suggests...you need to flash to your newest carrier Rom, or possibly a newer custom Rom.

Does your PC see it as 16GB?

SanDisk is the only microSDHC card available in 16GB capacity AFAIK, but there are some unscrupulous sellers who take 8GB cards, write a fake 16 over the 8, and make a big profit. So, next question is: Who'd you buy from?

San disk. I got it from a ebay store.I have been using it since December with no problems.My phone recognised it as 16gb . I just poped it in the slot and it has worked great. I have about 9gb on it now.
