Help backing up contacts

I hope maybe someone can help me. My HTC Touch 6900 screen went out. I am still able to use the USB to activesync it but it's not getting my contacts. Can someone tell me what I need to use to get my contacts as some of the numbers I won't be able to get again.

Activesync should sync your contacts, and whatever else that you tell it to.

Another alternative would to be to try to install My Mobiler

+1 for pimbackup, it does your contacts (including groups and set ringtone) as well as text messages and e-mails. Just remember to soft reset after restoring, your phone will lag big time.
