Cricket EVDO Cincinnati

Hey i live in Cincinnati, i have a htc touch fully flashed to cricket, i am using a supposed evdo prl file. I do however have the [EV] In the top corner of the phone but my internet doesnt seem any faster. It still dials up #777 to connect to the internet, and i still have it set to use the proxy wap.mycricket.com, are there settings i need to change in order to take advantage of the evdo? Do i need to notify cricket that i have an evdo capable phone?

Does it blink in an out from 1x To EV
if it does its sitting wise but if stays at EV its
just the cricket network they might not
have such a good service were you live for the
EV to work
