play music with screen off

The thread for this is probably on here but I can't seem to do the right search to find it. I just installed OMJ's clean M2D rom and its awesome but when I shut off the screen when listening to music the music stops. Other roms I've tried don't do this but I really the like the rom I currently have. Any ideas to make this work. Thanks

try GSplayer - it's freeware and has a setting to turn off the screen while listening to music (mp3 or streaming)...

s2p does what you want. works with s2u2 very nice also. with both apps. on phone you can have screen locked and still see album art and switch the song. http://www.ac-s2.com/

The built-in windows media player allows you to assign a button to turn off the screen and let the music keep playing.

You can also assign Display Switch, which is in Programs, to a hardware key or as a shortcut in the Start Menu. Selecting that turns the screen off.

Not in my HTC Touch (w/Sprint), but a long time ago, I installed an app called ScreenToggle. So, defamed, your Display Switch is part of your ROM? Or, is it available also as a CAB install?

ScreenToggle is fine, but does require two presses. One apparently fires up the program, the other then turns off screen backlight. Maybe your Display Switch runs in background all the time? Or maybe it opens and shuts down screen with just one press?

It's part of the ROM. I'm using OMJ's clean Sprint ROM. I don't remember if it was in the stock ROM, but it's definitely in OMJ's ROM. I just select it and the screen turns off in one press.
