Strange incoming ring

While I am on a call and get another incoming, I get a really strange ring and beeping sound on my headset. This began after my 6.1 upgrade. Is there a registry entry to modify this? Verizon has no idea. Says it is in the phone.

its your incoming call notification, it is very loud and annoying. lasts longer than it should, i think. if you find a way to get rid of it, please post.

This drives me nuts as well. It's a short "phone off the hook" tone every 2 seconds. This is in addition to the incoming call beep. Has anybody had success in getting rid of it?
