Re: App to keep screen for shutting off when plugged in?
Try this. Go to settings/backlight External power tab. Uncheck the turn off backlight. Works for me with the Sprint Version and I'm pretty sure that the Verizon 6900 has the same menus.

DUH DUH DUH! I've been on this screen a dozen times or more and missed that tab COMPLETELY! Thank you! TIme to get my eyes checked again!

Re: App to keep screen for shutting off when plugged in?
So much for that - I got all happy for nothing.
Apparently the XV6900 is smart enough to know whether it's connected to Wall/PC power versus a mobile charger ![]() When connected to a charger or the PC via USB it stays on - hook it to the car charger and it shuts off just as if it were on regular battery power ![]() |

Re: App to keep screen for shutting off when plugged in?
Well, there's always the option Start>Settings>System>Power>Advanced>On external power uncheck the box "turn off device if not used for"
Of course this is a global setting, but should work for when the phone is plugged in. |

Re: App to keep screen for shutting off when plugged in?
I'll give that a shot on the drive home - if I still have this phone.
Getting the dreaded white-housing cracks AGAIN. Seriously considering going to Verizon during lunch and getting a different phone. I'm not going through the hassle of swapping out phones again just to get another that is going to get cracks in literally the exact same place - AGAIN. |
