Verizon GPS with live search.

I did the unofficial Verizon update on my new phone. after some tweaks in the registry. (a workaround I found on XDA), the GPS works great. GPS Test finds 8 satelites in about 5 seconds indoors and Google earth works perfectly. However, Live Search doesn't pick up the GPS. Is there a setting I am missing? Or are there other good direction programs to be found?

Can you advise where you found the registry changes to make?

I had reviewed so many posts, that I had forgotten which one. Here is the post. I used the Sky Wing fix. It really works. I also re read the post, changed the setting on live search and both that and google earth work flawlessly. Here is the post. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=424387

I am amazed that I did this all less than a week after frying my first phone. However, it is worth it. My phone now works like it should.

With the Sprint version you simply set your Location Services on (Settings->Phone->Services->Location Settings->ON) then go to
Live Search ->menu->settings and select "GPS Intermediate Driver".

Yes but with the sprint version they don't disable GPS in the ROM.

Make sure in the Live Search settings you pick the Intermediate driver not COM4 or whatever. It should work fine then.
