Touch screen becoming less responsive?

I've had my sprint touch for over a year now and recently the screen has become less responsive. Sometimes I have to tap the screen 4-5 times to get things to recognize and more often than not, it acts like I've clicked in the lower right hand corner. I don't know if this is from the manilla 2d rom I just installed (it was happening before the rom update) or from S2U2 1.42 (which was relatively new as well), or if it's just old age.

Has anyone else been having this problem as well?

Re: Touch screen becoming less responsive?

part of my screen went dead over the last month, I'm just before a year. However, you could see it where it was wearing, when the screen was off it was black in that area. I had the same symptoms as you describe and had a screen protector on from day 1. Sprint replaced mine on Tuesday.

I'll call sprint and get a replacement. Did you upgrade your phone to different roms? If so, do you have to relock-it before you send it back?

Probably a good idea to relock it, as "modding" your phone could be grounds for denying you a replacement

Do you have a link to the re-locker you recommend?

Re: Touch screen becoming less responsive?

Very odd. I'm trying to get the latest bell rom to get installed on my new phone and it keeps stopping at 31%, but I can flash the sprint rom just fine.

SPL says 0.41.CoKe so I know that I have the coke updater installed correctly, but I just can't get the bell rom that I flashed on my old phone to complete on the new phone.

I guess I'm stuck with the sprint 3.03.651.4 rom. Hopefully I can get OMJ's Manila 2D to work with it.

Re: Touch screen becoming less responsive?

there's a registry tweak that will make your screen more sensitive, I haven't used it myself, but you could try and search for it to see if that would help.
