have to use google maps to start gps?

Hi,

I downloaded a .cab here some time a go that allows tomtom to start the vogues internal GPS as it loads up.

I had to hard reset recently and lost it.

Now I'm having to start google maps, to turn on the GPS then start tomtom to get it to recognise the internal GPS signal.

Anyone know what that program was or what else I can use?
think it may have been astrolauncher or something similar?

FOUND IT, SORRY.

OK, so I'm a bit of a muppet after a long weekend, I realised that I was not linking my screen button to TOMTOM LAUNCHER, but just to tomtom app... changed and now primes the gps.

Re: have to use google maps to start gps?

I'm wondering if this would help my Garmin XT software to start upi better.
I tried the Astrolauncher, but when I 'Tap' to start it, it doesn't appear to do anything.

What is it supposed to look like when you run this app?

Alex JB can you post the solution to this problem or PM me, I'm having the same issues. I did a search and found a astro luncher zip, but it came with an lnk file and I have not idea where to put that. Thanks for your help.

Just install this updated Astrolauncher Cab it puts the shortcut where it's supposed to go then just select tom tom launcher from programs to start tomtom.

Just so you know a .LNK file is a shortcut to start a program they go in the folder on your phone device\windows\start menu\programs.....then it will show up when you look in your programs.
Attached Files
File Type: cab AstroGPS.cab (11.6 KB, 19 views) Click for barcode!

See ya round.

Just relax, You gotta start a thread and ask or nobody may even notice your question, like in this case, and also just use the search and you will usually answer your own question like you did.

It's a lot easier than waiting around for an answer and you always learn some extra stuff too.

Welcome to ppc.
