Vogue GPS issues..

I just got my 6900 and have not activated it yet as I want to try programs that dont use data. Here is what I did. I ran the unlocker. Then I updated the radio. Then I put the NFSFAN's 6.1 rom on. THEN i tried to do the gps unl**** that was found HERE . Then I installed ROUTE 66 nav software and cannot get it to work. It will not detect my GPS at all. I do not get a signal or see any satellites. I also tried the GPS Program that was in system tools that scanned the comm ports for the GPS and it was found on com4. Then I clicked OPEN GPS. I am now here with nothing to show for a gps. location is on and I get nothing.

PHONE: Not activated yet
GPS FIX: Supposedly performed but I saw no difference after it was done.

THis is the rom i use Gps works out of the box FYI use com 4 @57600 then open gps
DO NOT X or close the gps veiwer just run the Nav Program while it still open.
P.s there are other radio updates but i have 3.37 and mine works

My understanding is AGPS ang the IP's that need to be setup ONLY WORK ON AN ACTIVE PHONE saying that i never set up an AGPS with the workshop (i use Cricket ) they have no such service Again mine works fine maybe slow to see all sats to get a lock. But sees some all the time Except in tunnels some big building with more than two floors Good Luck

As simple as it sounds are you set to COM4

Well I think its on com 4 because I scan and it says GPS found on com 4.

I tried setting my comm 4 to 57600 in the GPS viewer and it does not see the GPS when I scan. I just did a radio update earlier in the day to RUU_Vogue_4350_ALLTEL_WWE_3.04.671.2_Radio_4350H_3 .37.10_Alltel_NV2.00_PRL30008_0331_Ship_withSpecia lNBH. I will try the manilla one now and see if it works.

My last update is taht I ACTIVATED the phone and it still doesnt work. keep trying and thanks for the responses...hopefully we will get this sorted out.

well....just updated to manilla using your link and in GPS viewer I still do not get a fix

Ok here is the current status.

I flashed from OMJ.3.09.Manilla.v3.exe to RUU_Vogue_VZW_WWE_3.14.605.1_Radio_3.37.77_Ship.ex e

then I applied Valhalla

THEN the GPS WORKED! Then since it was just basic windows from VZW I wanted a better rom. I flashed to NSFAN's 1.10 ROM and the GPS does not work. Cannot figure it out. What settings change from THE leaked VZW to NSFANS?

Strange. I just did the wife's vogue to NFSFAN 1.10 and I don't have GPS either. My understanding that the GPS will ont work until you have a data plan though.
