Re: **Why isnt everyone with a wm phone using seven push email?**
I'm in a very rural area where service is in and out many times also switch about 3-4 towers where I travel (work, home, shop ect) if data is acitve and it looses signal it screws with my phone bad, slows it to a stop and sometimes it won't recover even soft resets. I've had to hard reset a few times from it and more than once was from using a push client. I now set my mail to manual send/receive along with everything else that relys on data, have to protect myself because of the signal

Re: **Why isnt everyone with a wm phone using seven push email?**
I use Windows Live for push email. I only need one email account and I don't need my emails sent to me instantly so I'm happy with it. Good thing is that there's no software to install as it's already included in the ROM.
I tried Seven before using Windows Live and correct me if I'm wrong, but don't you have to give them your username/password to all the accounts you want setup? Anyway, at that time, it was having problems with my yahoo account so I gave up. I also tried mail2web. I would probably be using this service over Windows Live if only they would change their email domain to something other than mail2web (<yourid>@mail2web.com sounds lame to me). Downside is that if you forward all your emails to the mail2web account, then any replies you make from those emails will have your mail2web email address instead of the address of the account that the sender sent it to. But, it's free and it syncs your calendar, contacts, and email over the air which is what I like - no need to sync with computer anymore. Last edited by ckl_88; 01-15-2009 at 09:22 PM. |

Seven rocks for me. No slow down at all. Perfect in my book. Add Goosync to the equation and I have a total cloud solution that just works.

For all you seven users, do you not experience a ~7 second delay when trying to open your email inbox? That's what I'm seeing.

Seven seconds is slow?

Re: **Why isnt everyone with a wm phone using seven push email?**
I use seven everyday to sync my work Lotus Notes email with my phone (works better than mnotes imo). If you haven't tried seven in the last 6 months, try it again. The newest seven winmo client is quite good. The delay opening mail is only sometimes... generally if messaging isn't already open. Not a bit deal for me, but I could see how it would annoy some people.
